Looking to practice or play a drop-in curling game? Then this is for you!
This event is open to anyone who has either taken a Learn to Curl, knows how to curl, or is a member of Aksarben Curling.
Individuals may use the time to practice their curling skills or play a pick-up game with others.
Note: We cannot guarantee that you will have enough people on hand to play with full teams.
Please show up 15 minutes early to help with ice prep (i.e. dry mop, break, retrieve stones from freezer) and know you will be expected to help put all the equipment back at the end. Never done that before? No worries - there will be plenty of regulars around to help show you how!
Masks will be required for all curlers given the COVID conditions at the time of the event. The Board of Directors will continue to monitor COVID conditions and guidance from health professionals, and update guidelines as appropriate. These guidelines are subject to change at the discretion of the Aksarben Curling Board of Directors.
ITEMS OF NOTE
- Park in Lot 25 and enter the west doors.
- We curl on the Holland Ice (past the big stairs and left at the skate shop).
- Please wear clean, grippy shoes like tennis shoes.
- The ice rink is kept at 40 degrees - please dress accordingly. Layers are recommended. Blue jeans are not.
